Litter Wardens
DO NOT LITTER AND DO NOT TOLERATE THOSE THAT DO
Galway City Council currently employs seven community wardens and one environment enforcement officer to enforce the Litter Pollution Act, 1997 throughout the city.

Litter offences include:
- discarding items on the street or out a car window, including cigarette butts
- dog fouling
- illegal dumping
- distribution of advertising flyers
