Finance
The Finance Department ensures that statutory and financial accounting principles, which apply to all funds, paid by or to the Council are complied with.
The preparation of Annual Budgets and the publication of the Annual Financial Statements are also the responsibility of the Finance Department.
The Finance department is divided broadly into:
- Accounts Payable:This section deals with outgoing payments to suppliers of goods and services
- Accounts Receivable:This section deals with the accepting of payments such as commercial rates and refuse charges from the businesses and residents of Galway City.
