Part 5 Development
The City Council makes provision for housing units to be obtained under Part 5 of the Planning and Development Act 2000.
A large number of Part 5 agreements relating to the provision of Social or Affordable units of accommodation have been entered into and will continue to be made with developers of all residential housing developments.
These agreements consist mainly of the provision of 2 and 3 bed units. ie houses, apartments or duplex units.
These units are then made available for sale under the Part 5 Affordable Housing Scheme or let in accordance with the Council's Scheme of Letting Priorities.
