Leasing or Renting of Residential Properties
Rental Accommodation Scheme (RAS)
The Rental Accommodation Scheme is a scheme for people who have been receiving long-term rent supplement and who need long-term housing by the City Council.
Landlords
Galway City Council will enter into contractual arrangements with accommodation providers, landlords, property owners, estate and letting agents.
The City Council will assume responsibility for making full monthly payments to landlords for the duration of the contract. The landlord will not have to collect rent or fill vacancies and the City Council will pay full rent even if the property is vacant.
