Guide to the Application Process to place a Skip on a Public Road or Footpath
English | GaeilgeA Licence is required for the placement of a skip on a public road/footpath maintained by Galway City Council in accordance with the Control of Skips Bye-Laws 2010.

To allow for proper assessment, the application must be made to Galway City Council 3 working days (excluding Saturday/Sunday and Bank Holidays) prior to the delivery of the Skip.
Galway City Council cannot guarantee Licences for any application that fails to adhere to this requirement.
In order to apply for a Licence, you must complete an application form, which can be obtained from:-
- Transportation, Infrastructure, Recreation & Amenity,
Grammar School Annex,
College Road,
Galway.

The completed application form should then be returned to the Transportation, Infrastructure, Recreation & Amenity Section, at the above address, by post, fax, or in person to the public counter (9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday).
Please ensure that the application form is accompanied with all the necessary documentation and the appropriate fee.
The following fees will apply to place a Skip on public roads and footpaths maintained by Galway City Council with effect from the 13th June 2011:
Placement of Skip on public road/footpath or part of thereof:
€10.00 per day (or part of day) per 5 metres of road/footpath space.
Placement of Skip in Pay & Display parking area:
€26 per day (or part of day) per parking space/bay.
Payment Methods:
Payment of the fee may be made by cash, cheque or credit card.

Déan cinnte go bhfuil an fhoirm iarratais in éineacht leis na doiciméid atá riachtanach, agus an táille chuí.
Beidh na táillí seo a leanas i bhfeidhm chun Scip a chur ar bhóithre agus ar chosáin phoiblí a chothabháil ag Comhairle Cathrach na Gaillimhe ón 13 Meitheamh, 2011:
Láithriú scip ar bhóithre / chosáin phoiblí
€10 in aghaidh an lae in aghaidh an 5 méadar de bhóthar / spás cosán.
Láithriú Scip in áit Íoc agus Taispeáin:
€26 in aghaidh an lae in aghaidh na spás páirceála.

Is féidir an táille a íoc trí airgead tirim, seic nó cárta creidmheasa.
