The existing N6 runs from Galway City in the West to Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath in the East, where it joins the existing N4 and continues along this route to Dublin City.
The proposed N6 Galway to east Ballinasole scheme is a high quality dual carriageway extending from Doughiska in the East of Galway City to Tulrush east of Ballinasloe.
