Hazardous Waste
Every household contains some form of hazardous waste, from old medicines or aerosols to weed killer or paint stripper.
Household hazardous wastes can be very harmful to human health and to the environment.
Landfill disposal of these wastes results in negative health and environmental effects, such as leaching of hazardous chemicals into the water supply.
Safe disposal of household hazardous waste is vital.
Each year the City Council has a Once-off Free Disposal Service for Household Hazardous Waste - More Information
