Accessibility in City Hall
Galway City Council aims to be as helpful and accommodating to your needs as possible.
There are 2 Disabled Parking Spaces available outside the main door with more available in the public car parking areas.
The City Hall building is fully accessible to all members of the public. There are level front and back entrances with sensor operated automatic power doors. There are also two internal elevators to all floor levels making all public counters, atriums, corridors and meeting rooms in both buildings accessible.
The main reception desk, and all public counters have a drop down counter to make it accessible and easier for our customers to use.
There are hearing loops for persons with hearing aids installed at every public counter, council chamber and training room and there is a portable system available for meetings. There are buzzers installed to attract staff attention to your presence at each counter.
There are disabled toilets located on every floor and ramp access at the side of the main building to facilitate emergencies evacuations.
