Argentine Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call to Galway City Mayor

The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic in Ireland, Ms Silvia Merega paid a courtesy call to Galway City Hall on Thursday (9th October) and met with Cllr. Donal Lyons, Mayor of Galway.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Rafaello Galetto and Mr Juan Ceferino Flynn of the embassy's Economic & Commercial Section. The Ambassador and her party discussed economic, social and cultural issues with the Mayor and with Deputy Chief Executive of Galway City Council, Mr. Joe O'Neill.
The Ambassador and the Mayor were joined later in discussion by Councillors Mairead Farrell, Anna Marley and Declan McDonnell and a range of possible future links between Galway city and the Argentine Embassy and Argentina itself were discussed.
