Italian Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call to Galway City Mayor
The Italian Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Mr. Giovanni Adorni Braccesi, paid a courtesy call to Galway City Hall on Tuesday October 14th and met with Cllr. Donal Lyons, Mayor of Galway.
During his visit the Ambassador discussed the Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU with the Mayor.
The Ambassador was in Galway for a book launch at the Italian Department in NUI Galway. The book, "Nation/Nazione: Irish Nationalism and the Italian Risorgimento" was edited by Anne O'Connor, Colin Barr and Michele Finelli, and brings together scholars of Ireland and Italy to examine the multiple intersections, impacts, and influences that flowed between Italy and Ireland in the 19th century.
