Local Musicians and Community Music Groups to bring sonic colour to this year's Galway City St.Patricks Day Parade!
Galway City is lucky to play host to a wonderful array of super-talented and hard-working musicians. This year's St Patrick's Day Parade is looking to showcase them with a Facebook group being set up specifically to organise travelling troubadours of musicians in the parade. See Facebook page Galway Patricks Parade Musician for more information.
Already announced to be coming on board are bands Cúla Búa and Rivers & Crows. Long running music night Citóg will also be supporting the parade. Citóg celebrates five years of promoting local and national original music this April. The Galway St. Patrick's Day OParade is especially looking forward to showcasing Galway music group Gamelan na Gaillimhe and their wonderful hand-crafted bronze gongs, metallophones and drums which were specially commissioned from 'Siswo Telu' in Central Java.
