City Development Plan Review - Closing Date for Submissions 23rd March
The closing date for submissions to the Review of the City Development Plan is next Monday the 23rd March.
A Development Plan Drop-In Clinic will be located in City Hall this Thursday from 2-4pm for members of the public who would like to meet with planning staff to find out more about the Development Plan and to discuss their particular planning issues.
The Plan is a wide ranging document covering areas such as housing, population, economic development, retailing, recreation and amenity, heritage, transport, infrastructure and environment. One of the main priorities of the plan is to strengthen the role of the city as an attractive place in which to live and do business.
Everybody living in the City or who has an interest in the future of the City is being encouraged to engage in the process so that the plan can reflect and respond to the aspirations of the people.
An Issues Paper which identifies the kind of planning issues that the next City Development Plan 2017-2023 could address is available on the Council's website www.galwaycity.ie together with information on how to get involved and how to make a submission.
