NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council has made an order closing:-

1. Seapoint Promenade R336 between Quincentennial Drive & Grattan Road
Period of Closure: From 07:00 to 15:00 Sunday, 28th June 2015

2. Seapoint Promenade R336 between The Atlantaquarium & D'Arcy Roundabout
Period of Closure: From 9:30 to 12:30 Sunday, 28th June 2015

3. Salthill Road Upper, Upper Salthill Knocknacarra between the D'Arcy Roundabout & Junction with the Barna Road (West bound lane closed only)
Period of Closure: From 9:30 to 12:30 Sunday, 28th June 2015

4. Claddagh Quay & Grattan Road between Fairhill & Wolfe Tone Bridge
(West bound lane closed only)
Period of Closure: From 9:30 to 12:30 Sunday, 28th June 2015

Note: This section of Grattan Road & Claddagh Quay will be open in one direction only. Traffic will be able to travel towards Wolfe Tone Bridge only.

Reason: To facilitate the Galway Simon Kick Asphalt 10km & 10mile road race.

Alternative Routes: Alternative routes for traffic will be via signposted diversion routes. Local access will be maintained at all times

Diversion Routes: Prior to the event when only Seapoint promenade is closed, a diversion will be available via Grattan Road & Salthill Road Upper and vice versa.

During the race, an alternative route Westbound is available via Fr. Griffin Road, Lower Salthill Road, Dr. Mannix Road, Threadneedle Road and Kingston Road. In order to reach any address on the route itself, approach from the West.
