Public Consultation – Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP)
Galway City Council is inviting you to have your say on the future economic, social and community development of Galway City.
Galway City Council has been tasked with producing a six year Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) for Galway City. The LECP will set out the objectives and actions needed to promote and support economic and community development in Galway City over the next six years.
As part of the LECP preparation process, a Socio-Economic Statement for Galway City has been developed.
The Socio-Economic Statement summarises the key opportunities for Galway City and identifies a number of high level goals.
Input and Feedback is now being sought on
- the Socio-Economic Statement and
- issues you believe should be included in the Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) for Galway City.
The Socio-Economic Statement is available from www.galwaycity.ie or from the Community and Culture Department of Galway City Council.
This is the start of the consultation phase for Galway City's Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP). Speak Out workshops and an on-line submission process will also be rolled out. Engagement through the Galway Community Network, sectoral interest groups, the Economic & Culture SPC and the Galway City LCDC will be ongoing.
