NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council proposes to make an order closing:-

R338 Coast Road (Westbound hard shoulder only - Two lanes open to traffic)

R338 Dublin Road (Westbound Bus lane only - Two lanes open to traffic)

R339 College Road from the junction with the Dublin road to the junction with Lough Atalia Road (Westbound lane only - Eastbound Lane open to traffic)

And Lough Atalia Road from College Road to Bothar Pairc an Aonaigh (Closed both directions - Local access will be maintained for residents only)

Period: 6.00am to 5:30pm on Sunday, 26th of June, 2016.

Reason: To facilitate the Challenge Galway Triathlon.

Diversion Routes: An alternative route is available Westward via Moneenageisha Road, Sean Mulvoy Road, Quincentennary Bridge, and (a) Newcastle Road, University Road, Eglington Street or (b) Seamus Quirke Road and Threadneedle Road. Local access will be maintained at all times. Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to the event commencing.

And closing:-

Lough Atalia Road (from Bothar Pairc an Aonaigh to Bothar na Long), Bothar na Long, Queen Street, Forthill Street, Victoria Place (from Merchants Road to Dock Road) Dock Road, Dock Street, The Long Walk, Spanish Parade (Westbound), R336 The Wolfe Tone Bridge (Westbound), Claddagh Quay & Grattan Road (Local access will be maintained for residents only).

Period: 6.00am to 12:00am on Sunday, 26th June, 2016.

Reason: To facilitate the Challenge Galway Triathlon.

Alternative Routes: Alternative routes for traffic will be via signposted diversion routes.

Diversion Routes: An alternative route is available Westward via Forster Street, Eyre Square East, Eyre Square North, Eglington Street, University Road and St. Marys Road. Local access will be maintained at all times. Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to the event commencing.

Documents can be inspected at the Galway City Council, Transportation Department, during normal office hours, from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to the undersigned not later than 12.00 noon on Thursday, 9th of June, 2016.
