Leisureland Selects Consultants To Look To The Future
It has been announced by Galway City Council and the board of Leisureland that a firm of consultants has been selected to carry out a feasibility study on the site adjacent to Leisureland which has traditionally been used as a funfair and for other activities such as ice rink etc over the years. The study will also examine the operation of the Leisureland facility itself.
There will be extensive consultation with stakeholders public representatives, customers, local community, business representatives, etc., as part of the process.
Cllr Donal Lyons, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Leisureland said, "The Board is delighted to hear of the selection of the consultancy firm." He went on to say, "This is something the Board of Leisureland has campaigned for in recent times. I look forward to the outcome of the study which is wide ranging and comprehensive."
The study will include an appraisal of the existing operation and will include the provision of income generating and cost cutting options. The study requires the identification of short, medium and long term options for both the site and the facility itself
It is envisaged that the selected consultancy firm will be assigned to begin the study in the near future once contractual requirements have been completed.
