Notice of Decision: Temporary Closure of roads to facilitate Galway Bay Marathon, Half-Marathon & 10K

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council has made an order closing:-

Claddagh Quay, Grattan Road, Seapoint Promenade (R336), Salthill Road Upper (R336), Upper Salthill (R336), Knocknacarra (R336)

…. In one direction only

East to West lane will be closed

West to East lane will be open

Period of Closure: From 08:30am to 02:30pm Saturday, 1st October, 2016.

Reason: To facilitate the Galway Bay Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10k.

Alternative Routes: Alternative routes for traffic will be via signposted diversion routes. Local access will be maintained at all times.

Diversion Routes: An alternative route Westbound is available via Fr. Griffin Road, Lower Salthill Road, Dr. Mannix Road, Threadneedle Road and Kingston Road. In order to reach any address on the route itself, you can approach from the West.
