Spring Bulbs 2016

Galway City Council under the Community Planting Initiative (C.P.I.) scheme will have a selection of Spring Bulbs available FREE to Community Groups, Schools, Housing Committees & Environmental Groups who are registered with Galway City Council - Recreation & Amenity Department for planting in public open spaces.

 

The group/school must undertake to plant these bulbs in a suitable location, in its own local area during the month of October. It will be a requirement that before and after photographs of planting events are submitted to the Recreation & Amenity Department, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway.

 

To express your interest in availing of these free spring bulbs, groups/schools should contact the Recreation & Amenity Department at 091-536565 by 13.00 on the 7th October 2016. Number of bulbs available to groups will be based on overall demand.

 

 

Bulbs will be made available on a first come first served basis at the Galway City Council Depot (Hunters), Barna/Lough Rusheen Park, Barna Road, Galway on the following dates:

Wednesday 12th October 2016 between the hours of 9.00am to 3.30pm.

Thursday 13th October 2016 between the hours of 9.00am to 3.30pm.

Wednesday 19th October 2016 between the hours of 9.00am to 3.30pm.

Thursday 20th October 2016 between the hours of 9.00am to 3.30pm.
