Planning and Development Act 2000 (As Amended) Material Contravention of Development Plan for Galway City Development Plan 2017-2023

Notice is hereby given in accordance with section 34(6) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended, that GALWAY CITY COUNCIL intends to consider deciding to grant permission for development which will consist of a single storey extension of 35 sq. m to the side and rear of an existing dwelling house at No. 302 Corrib Park, Galway City.
The development would contravene materially the following objective of Galway City Development Plan 2017-23 - Section 11.2.2 Land Use Zoning Objective RA
RA - To provide for and protect recreational uses, open space, amenity uses and natural heritage.
The development which includes the construction of an extension to a dwelling house would be located on lands reserved for recreational uses, open space, amenity uses and natural heritage.
Particulars of the development may be inspected or/and purchased at the Planning Office of Galway City Council during its public opening hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm) & also available for viewing on Galway City Council's website www.galwaycity.ie
Any submission or observation as regards the making of a decision to grant permission should be submitted in writing to the Planning Department, College Road, Galway City not later than 4 weeks after the 16th of January 2017. All will be duly considered by the Planning Authority in advance of a decision.
