Galway City and County all set for Social Inclusion Week 2017

Social Inclusion Week 2017 will take place next week from 16th to 22nd October. With over 60 different events taking place across the city and county there something for everyone to attend and get involved in.

For the official launch event this year Galway City Council, Galway County Council and Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture have teamed up to bring you something a little bit different with the 'Creating Inclusion' event which will take place on Monday 16th October from 11am to 2pm at Tribeton on Merchants Road. This event will showcase a wide range of local initiatives that are supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities in creative and innovative ways.

The Cathaoirleach of the County of Galway Cllr. Eileen Mannion and Mayor of Galway City Cllr. Pearce Flannery will officially launch the week at the Creating Inclusion event at 11am in Tribeton.

Social Inclusion Week is a celebration of participation, equality and inclusion and is a great opportunity to raise awareness about the excellent inclusion work being done by local groups and organisations in Galway.
