The City Museum is located in the City Centre in the Spanish Arch Area beside the Claddagh.

Departing from Galway Bus / Train Station go through Eyre Square and exit towards Shop Street.
This is Galway’s main shopping area and the street is pedestrianised. Continue on to the end of Shop Street and take a left onto Quay Street also pedestrianised and renowned for its abundance of outdoor pubs and restaurants. This street leads to the area known as Spanish Parade.
Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing, follow through the Spanish Arch and you are in the courtyard of Galway City Museum.
Departing from Galway Bus / Train Station follow through Eyre Square towards Prospect Hill staying with the one-way traffic system. Take a right at the first main junction on to Bóthár Ui Eithir.
Continue down-hill and go straight through the lights past the Galway Tourist Office on your right and the Radisson Hotel to your left. Take a right at the T-junction onto Lough Atalia Road and continue straight on along Dock Road.
You will come to a bend in the road, follow through and to the left is Galway City Museum. The Main Entrance to the museum faces onto the courtyard at the Spanish Arch.
Please note that there is NO Parking at the Museum.
