Given that they live locally within that particular community, residents have first handexperience of issues affecting their local area.
Each resident representative is required to attend regular meetings of the AIT in a voluntary capacity - this ensures that the AIT is kept informed of issues affecting localareas and also leaves the resident rep with a responsibility to report back to their wider community.
