The City Council currently employs Litter wardens to enforce the Litter Pollution Act 1997 throughout the City.
Their general duties include:
Under the legislation they can issue €125 On-The-Spot Fines and they can also prosecute offenders under the Litter Pollution Act 1997 under which the maximum fine is € 1,905.
