The Litter Management Unit are in charge of:
- Road Sweeping
- Litter Picking
- Fly-Tipping
- The Provision and Emptying of Litter Bins
The Unit is divided up into four sectors across the City:
The City Centre area is swept on a daily scheduled basis commencing at 5.30am.
Cleaning involves using a combination of:
- Manual Sweepers
- Mechanical Mini-Sweeper
- Manually-operated mechanical sweepers
The areas outside the city centre are kept clean by large mechanical sweepers.
