Projects and Schemes

There are many Projects and Schemes that the Environment Department is involved in to help protect and enhance the environment in Galway City.

Many of the Projects and Schemes are part of the Anti-Litter Education Program which focuses on educational institutions and businesses.

Other Activities also undertaken:

Primary school environmental workshops through Solas Arts Collective
Cluain Mhuire Art-Against-Litter exhibition in GMIT
Used batteries collection boxes and recycling service provided to schools
Video screen anti-litter displays in four Credit Unions
A rolling screen anti-litter display in Eglington St Post Office
Anti-Litter and Recycling information inserted in NUIG and GMIT Student Handbooks.
