There is a Household Waste Collection Service for Furniture and Electrical Items.
The items are collected between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Mondays - East Side of the City
Tuesdays - West Side of the City
Items should be left for collection at the front of your dwelling.
A €5 collection charge should be paid if only electrical or electronic items are to be collected. There is no charge for them if they are being collected with other items.
Payment over the phone will not be taken after 12.00 Midday on Thursday before Collection.

Householders should note that only items paid for will be collected.
Hazardous waste such as paint tins, chemicals, weed killer, flourscent bulbs and batteries cannot be collected.

From 30th November 2001, it is an offence to collect waste if you do not have a valid waste collection permit.
From 30th November 2001, it is an offence to give your waste to a waste collector who does not have a valid waste collection permit.
Waste includes old furniture, mixed household waste, rubble, scrap metal, recyclables etc.
