Public Transport Feasibility Study – Call for Submissions

Galway City Council has appointed consultants to undertake a public transport feasibility study to examine the feasibility of public transportation options in the area of Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail and Park and Ride Facilities.
The objective of this work is to determine the type and extent of public transport and park and ride facilities required to ensure the long-term sustainable development of Galway City and its environs.

Consultation with stakeholders including members of the public is a key element of this study. To this end, members of the public are invited to submit their viewpoints marked clearly Public Transport Feasibility Study in writing to Galway Transportation Unit, City Hall, College Road, Galway or alternatively, submissions can be emailed to Galway Transportation Unit at: gtu@galwaycity.ie.

Submissions are now being accepted and should be forwarded not later than Monday April 6, 2009 at 12.00 noon.
