What is Social Inclusion Week? Social Inclusion Week for Galway City is taking place from Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd October 2022. Social Inclusion Week celebrates and showcases the vast array of initiatives taking place locally to tackle social exclusion, poverty and deprivation.  The theme for Social Inclusion Week 2022 is ‘Reconnecting Post Covid’.

The Westside Modular Family Hub in Galway, the first of its kind in Ireland, has been shortlisted for the Irish Council of Social Housing Allianz Community Housing Awards 2021. Galway City Council introduced a new system for the allocation of social housing called Choice Based Letting (CBL) on 7th April 2021.  CBL is a web based system where qualified housing applicants can register an interest in social housing units due for letting.
