MARTIN ROUNDABOUT UPGRADE

 Public Notice in Accordance with the Road Traffic Act 1994 (Section 38) as amended by the Public Transport Regulations Act, 2009 (Section 46)

 Traffic Calming Measures

 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Galway City Council proposes to upgrade the Martin Roundabout, at the junction of the R338 Old Dublin Road / R446 / Doughiska Road, to a signalised junction.

 The proposed measures at the upgraded signalised junction include: provision of public transport priority measures, provision of cycling facilities and associated pedestrian enhancements and traffic calming measures.

 Drawings of the proposed upgrade are available for public inspection from 11th July 2019 to 12th August 2019 (each day excluding weekends and public holidays from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) at the Transportation Department, Galway City Council, Yeats College Annex, College Road, Galway.

 The Plan is also available for inspection on the Galway City Council website:  www.galwaycity.ie

 Observations and submissions in respect of the proposed upgrade should be made in writing and addressed to Ms. Ruth McNally, Director of Services, Transportation, Planning & Physical Development Department, Yeats College Annex, College Road, Galway or emailed to roads@galwaycity.ie before 4.00 p.m. on the 12th August, 2019.
