In accordance with Part X1 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 (as amended) and Part 8, Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) notice is hereby given by Galway City Council of a proposed Culturally Appropriate Traveller Group Housing development on lands at Circular Road, Galway City.


The development will consist of:

(a) 5 no. detached, 2-storey, culturally appropriate Traveller group housing units comprising: (i) 3 no. three-bedroom houses (ii) 1 no. four-bedroom house (iii) 1 no. two-bedroom house (b) renewable energy design measures for each unit; and (c) supporting development works including (i) improvements to existing access road (ii) on curtilage parking spaces; (iii) landscaping; (iv) surface water attenuation; (v) temporary construction signage; (vi) estate signage; and (vii) all associated site works.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy for a period of 4 weeks from Thursday, 10th February 2022 up to and including Thursday, 10th March 2022 during public hours at the Planning Office, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY from 9:00am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
