PUBLIC CONSULTATION – GALWAY CITY LOCAL ECONOMIC & COMMUNITY PLAN
Galway City Council is inviting you to have your say on the future economic, social and community development of Galway City.
Galway City Council has commenced preparation of the Local Economic & Community Plan (LECP) for Galway City. The LECP will set out the objectives and actions needed to promote and support economic and community development in Galway City over the next six years.
As part of the LECP preparation process, an Issues Paper for Galway City has been developed.
The Issues Paper summarises the key opportunities for Galway City and identifies a number of high level goals for the city’s future.
Your input & feedback is welcomed on these Issues.
The Issues Paper is available on https://consult.galwaycity.ie or from the Community Department of Galway City Council.
This is the start of the consultation phase and you are invited to engage in the process which will influence how our city develops and grows.
The Issues Paper online public consultation takes place from Monday 20th June 2022 until Friday 15th July 2022.
The Issues paper is available to view and download from https://consult.galwaycity.ie. A hard copy of the Issues paper is available on request from the Community Section of Galway City Council using the email below.
Submissions/observations regarding the preparation of the Galway City Local Economic & Community Plan 2023-2029 are welcome from members of the public and other interested parties.
Submissions/observations can be made by:
· Using the online portal at https://consult.galwaycity.ie
· By email to firstname.lastname@example.org (please include LECP in the subject line)
· By posting your submission/observation to LECP Feedback, Community Department, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, H91 X4K8.
Please make your submission/observation in one form only i.e. online, by email or hard copy by post. Submissions/observations should have a title of LECP Review and should state your name, address and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.
The closing date for receipt of submissions/observations is Friday 15th July 2022.

Please note that all valid submissions/observations received by the Council shall be published on the Galway City Council website.
