A temporary traffic management plan with local diversions will be in place on the afternoon of Friday 26th May 2023.

This traffic management plan is being put in place for the safety of road users during the official opening of the new Salmon Weir Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge.

The traffic management plan will be put in place from 13.00 to 15.30 and will involve the following:

Temporary closure of Newtownsmith to vehicular traffic.
Temporary closure of Gaol Road East to vehicular traffic – i.e. road between new bridge and Cathedral.
