  • Do I need permission to collect money for charity on a Galway City Road or footpath?

    Yes - prior permission is required. If you wish to hold an event or film in Galway City, the applicant must submit the following information in writing:

    • Where the event is to take place
    • What will the event entail
    • When the event is scheduled to take place
    • The purpose of the event.
    • Potential impact of the event on road users, people in the area

    Applications should be sent either in writing or by email to:
