Walking and cycling take 29,000 cars off Galway roads every day, according to Walking and Cycling Index.

Mayor of the City of Galway, Councillor Eddie Hoare and Minister of State with responsibility for International and Road Transport and Logistics, Jack Chambers T.D., today formally opened the Doughiska Road South Cycle Network Scheme and the Martin Junction Upgrade Scheme.

Upgrade works to enhance public transport facilities in the Parkmore area will begin on Monday, February 19th.  Temporary traffic management measures will be in place.
