In accordance with Section 21 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 and Section 6 of the Housing (Traveller Accommodation) Act 1998, Galway City Council has been instructed by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage to carry out a Housing Needs Assessment for 2021.

The Council will be writing to certain applicants currently on the housing waiting list to reassess their eligibility for housing support.  All applicants must reply in full to this correspondence.  Completed returns with all necessary documentation enclosed, should be submitted to Housing Department, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway not later than 8th October 2021.

Failure to submit a completed return in this timeline will result in your application for housing support being closed by the Local Authority.
