 Love your Beach is back for two days on 17th-18th May 2024. The events start on Friday 17th May at 4.30pm on Ballyloughane Beach with an official opening with the Mayor of Galway City.

Galway City Council is delighted to announce the official opening of a new, state of the art ‘Changing Places’ facility, located next to the existing toilet block at Ladies Beach, Salthill. The facility was opened by Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr Eddie Hoare, in advance of the 2024 bathing season.

Eddie Hoare hosted an event in the Menlo Park Hotel on 30th August to acknowledge the work of Galway City Council’s Litter Management Unit on the positive results from the recent Irish Business Against Litter survey for Galway City. Become a Citizen Scientist and help the EPA to measure air pollution in Galway City

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Galway City Council are asking the people and businesses of Galway City to become citizen scientists by helping to measure air pollution. We need 500 people to register to participate.
