The 15th annual Galway City Heritage Conference took place in the Harbour Hotel on Friday 28 March 2025 – with a large attendance for a day of thought-provoking presentations and discussions.

Galway City Council has recently installed two shelters at Ballyloughane Beach, with spectacular murals painted by local artist, Ró (Ronan J Connor).

Galway City Council, in partnership with Clean Coasts, is proud to announce the launch of Love Your Beach 2025, a family-friendly, three-day event set to take place from Wednesday, 14 May to Friday, 16 May 2025. This event will celebrate the beauty, biodiversity, and recreational value of Galway’s beaches, including Ballyloughane Beach, Grattan Beach, Ladies Beach, and Silverstrand. All the activities are free to attend and passers-by are welcome!
