The National Transport Authority has today published the findings of its latest survey of walking, wheeling and cycling in the Galway Metropolitan Area, which reveals that every day, up to 23,000 return walking and cycling non-leisure trips are made by residents who could have used a car.

Refurbishment works have now commenced on the existing ‘Plot of the Angels’ in Bohermore Cemetery. These works will ensure the plot remains a peaceful and dignified place of remembrance.
