When does the Christmas Park and Ride Service begin?
The Park and Ride Service from Galway Racecourse to Galway Coach Station will not be operating during Christmas 2025. Alternative arrangements are in place, however, enabling motorists to PARK FOR FREE at either the ATU on the Old Dublin Road or the University Of Galway Park & Ride Car Park in Dangan and to avail of local bus services at their own expense.
How often will the Park & Ride Service run throughout the day?
Services from the Atlantic Technological University (Eircode H91 T8NW), will operate from 8 AM to 10 PM on December 13th to 14th and December 19th to 24th inclusive. Bus options include the 401, 402, 404, 405 and 409.
Services from the University Of Galway Park & Ride Car Park in Upper Newcastle (Closest Eircode H91 C7DK), will operate from 8 AM to 10 PM on December 19th to 24th inclusive. The 404 bus (Upper Newcastle) will be in service along this route.
How much does the Park & Ride Service Cost?
Regular fares will apply on buses servicing the alternative Park & Ride routes from the ATU and the University Of Galway Park & Ride Car Park, into Galway City.
