When does the Christmas Park and Ride Service begin?
The annual Park & Ride Christmas Service will commence on Friday 6th of December 2019. The service will operate until Tuesday 24th December 2019.
What are the operating times of the Park and Ride Service?
The Service will operate from Ballybrit Racecourse to the City Centre Coach Station at Fairgreen, from 9.30am to 9.15pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 11.00am to 9.15pm on Sundays. Buses will run every 15 minutes in both directions every day, and every 30 minutes from 7.00pm to 9.00 pm on Sundays.
What is the cost of the Park and Ride Service?
The fee is €2 per person return with children and pensioners travelling for free. Also included is all-day parking at Ballybrit
What is the frequency of the Park and Ride Service?
A bus will depart the drop off and pick up location every 15 minutes between 9.30am to 9.15pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 7.00pm on Sundays. The service will operate every 30 minutes between 7.00pm and 9.00pm on Sundays.

Who Provides the Park and Ride Service?
Aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in Galway City in the run up to Christmas, Galway City Council provides funding to operate the Park and Ride service. Each year, tenders are invited to operate the service on our behalf, given our public procurement obligations.
