Families flocked to Father Burke Park last Saturday (7 June 2025) for Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people. Visitors enjoyed music, art, circus, storytelling, film and much more as the park was transformed into a festival celebrating young people’s creativity.
A new addition this year was ‘Pobal na Gaeltachta’, a range of events trí Ghaeilge, and an expanded ‘Youth Lates’ programme in the evening, with bands such as TaLLLon and Telebox taking centre stage, thrilling audiences and showcasing the incredible talent of young musicians in Galway City.
Cruinniú na nÓg is supported by Galway City Council through its Creative Ireland Programme, in partnership with Youth Work Ireland Galway. Cruinniú Lates is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media as part of the Night Time Economy pilot.
