Proposed Floodlighting at Renmore Soccer Pitch

In accordance with Part XI of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and Part 8, Article 81, of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Galway City Council hereby gives notice of proposals pertaining to the scheme as set out hereunder.
 

The proposed development will consist of: 


(i)    Erection of 12No. floodlight luminaires mounted on 6no. lighting columns positioned around the perimeter of the existing soccer pitch including installation of an above-ground mini-pillar cabinet structure and all associated site works.


Galway City Council has carried out an Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report and has concluded that a full Appropriate Assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development.

All comments, including names of those making comments, submitted to the council regarding the scheme will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented at a meeting of the elected members. Accordingly, they may also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
