NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council proposes to make an order closing:
Highfield Park (Estate): From the Junction of the L-1001-0 & L-10011-0 (entrance to Highfield Park) including Rockmount Road for 900m within Highfield Park Estate. Route follows Oakley Crescent, Cedarwood Close, Ashdale Road, Sycamore Drive, Ardmore Road & Avondale Road.
Period of Closure: From 3:00pm to 6.30pm, Saturday 14th June 2025.
Reason: To facilitate start and finish of Criterium Cycle Road Race.
Alternative Routes: Alternative routes for traffic will be via signposted diversion routes.
Diversion Routes: Access to and from the estate will be for local access only (residents etc.). Route will be via Sycamore Drive & Beechmount Road.
Documents can be inspected at Reception, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, H91 X4K8, during normal office hours, from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Mr Patrick Greene, Director of Services, Galway City Council, at the above address, or by email to: roads@galwaycity.ie not later than 12 noon on Thursday 29th May 2025
