NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council has made an order closing:
Leitrif Road: From the junction with Ballagh Road to the junction with Letteragh Road
Period of Closure: From 7.00am to 7.00pm from Monday 25th May to Friday 5th June 2026.
Reason: Uisce Éireann site investigation works
Diversion Routes: Diversions will be in place via Letteragh Road, Corcullen Road, Oranswell Road, Moycullen Road & Gortacleva Road
Localised access will be maintained as permitted within the limitations of those within the existing pedestrianised zone.
Access will be maintained for Emergency Vehicles.
Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to work commencing.
Documents can be inspected at Reception, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, H91 X4K8, during normal office hours, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Mr Patrick Greene, Director of Services, Galway City Council, at the above address, or by email to: roads@galwaycity.ie on 12.00pm Thursday 14th May 2026.
