NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council has made an order closing:
Presentation Road & Mill Street: From Presentation Road Junction with Newcastle Road to Mill Street Junction with Bridge Street & Domnick Street Lower.
Period of Closure: 24/7 Monday 6th July to Friday 21st August 2026.
Reason: Watermain Installation Works.
Diversion Routes: Diversions will be in place via Dominick Street Lower, Dominick Street Upper, Henry Street, St. Helen’s Street & Newcastle Road.
Access will be maintained for Emergency Vehicles.
Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to work commencing.
Documents can be inspected at Reception, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, H91 X4K8, during normal office hours, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Mr Patrick Greene, Director of Services, Galway City Council, at the above address, or by email to: roads@galwaycity.ie not later than 12 noon on Thursday 18h June 2026.
