Parkmore Road Bus Priority Project Completed Ahead of Schedule

Galway City Council is pleased to provide an early Christmas present to workers and residents in Parkmore with confirmation that works on the Parkmore Bus Priority Project have been completed ahead of schedule. It had been expected that construction works would continue into the first months of 2025, but works are now substantially complete in advance of the Christmas period.

Notice of Further Information to An Bord Pleanála for the extension of Galway Harbour at Renmore and Townparks Townlands and on lands to be reclaimed from the foreshore and the sea in Galway Bay to the south of the existing Galway Harbour Enterprise Park, which contains a Seveso site (An Bord Pleanála Reference Number 61.PA0033).

Great night for Galway City communities at the Spaces for Biodiversity Awards 2024

The inaugural Galway City ‘Spaces for Biodiversity’ Competition Awards was held on Tuesday 3 December at the Galway Bay Hotel. The competition is organised by Galway City Council to recognise and celebrate the efforts of residents throughout the city in putting biodiversity first in their gardens, estates, and public areas. The Mayor of Galway City, Cllr. Peter Keane was in attendance to present the prizes.
