The Arts Services of Clare County Council, Galway City Council and Mayo County Council are delighted to announce the launch of the Levelling Access Artists Practice Bursary.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS Roads Act 1993 – Section 75 Roads Regulations 1994 - Article 12 Notice of Decision - Abbeygate Street Upper

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Galway City Council has made an order closing:

Abbeygate Street Upper: From the junction at Bowling Green to the junction of Abbeygate Street Upper (opposite Sally Longs).

Period of Closure: From 8.00am to 2.00pm Tuesday 22nd October 2024.

Reason: To facilitate removal of scaffolding from external facade of Electric Nightclub and Abbeygate House.

Diversion Routes: Temporary diversion route will be in place via Bowling Green.

Facilities funded by GCC including Westside pitches and running track, a tennis court, new footpaths and Rocky Road Memorial Garden

Notice of the Passing of Resolution Under Section 20(2) of the Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (As Amended)

In pursuance of the provisions of section 20 of the FINANCE (LOCAL PROPERTY TAX) ACT 2012 (as amended), I the undersigned, hereby notify the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage of the passing, of a resolution at a meeting of the above mentioned local authority on 14th October 2024 to the effect that the basic rate of local property tax should stand varied upwards by 15 per cent for the years 2025 to 2029 in respect of relevant residential properties situated in the local authority’s administrative area.

Galway City Council Sports Club Grants Scheme 2024 Allocations

Galway City Council is delighted to announce this year’s allocation of funding under the Sports Club Grants Scheme. In all, €140,000 was allocated to 50 different clubs with 26 clubs receiving the maximum grant amount of €3,500.
