The City Council may issue parking permits to facilitate people who are 'Residents' of Pay and Display Areas. Eligible residents may apply for the following types of parking permit:
Resident's Permit
Visitor's Permit
Carer's Permit

Galway City Council supports Community Festivals in local areas to encourage participation in community life.

New Suppliers must complete and return a Supplier Set up form which will be issued by the staff member organising the purchase. Evidence of bank account details in the name of the Supplier must be provided with the form e.g. bank statement header.

Local authorities may offer choice to approved housing and transfer applicants in selecting a new home. Applicants can express an interest in houses which are advertised.

You must apply for a licence to the local authority if you are a casual trader and you want to sell goods in a public place or designated trading area.

Local authorities may collect bulky goods such as large electrical items or furniture from households for disposal.
