Galway City Council is inviting applications from festival organisers for the 2026 Regional Festivals Fund and the newly established Regional Food Festival Fund. These funds are kindly supported by Fáilte Ireland.
This October, Galway City along Ireland’s iconic Wild Atlantic Way will once again reclaim Samhain’s ancient Celtic origins with Gaillimh Ah‑Boo! — a vibrant, city‑wide celebration of food, folklore, feasting, fire, mischief and myth.
Galway City Council is inviting local community and residents’ groups to apply for funding (€300–€2,000) to deliver 2026 community festivals and events that strengthen community participation across Galway City, with all activities to be completed by 30 November 2026.
