Féasta Fómhair: A Spectacular Dinner celebrating Halloween at St Nicholas’s Church

Part of Gaillimh Ah-Boo! – Galway’s Celebration of Samhain

This October, Galway City along Ireland’s iconic Wild Atlantic Way will reclaim Samhain’s ancient Celtic origins with Gaillimh Ah-Boo!, a vibrant city-wide celebration of food, folklore, and feasting.

As part of this programme, the historic St Nicholas’s Church will host Féasta Fómhair (Harvest Feast) – a one-night-only dining experience curated by acclaimed chef JP McMahon, celebrating Samhain’s traditions through food. Inspired by seasonal produce, local heritage, and storytelling, this extraordinary dinner brings together some of Galway’s finest chefs and Blas na Gaillimhe producers for a cultural and culinary highlight of the festival.

The Experience
Guests will enjoy:

  • A cosy, candlelit setting with seasonal décor inside Galway’s medieval St Nicholas’s Church
  • A complimentary welcome drink on arrival at 6:30pm, followed by a five-course harvest dinner beginning at 7:00pm
  • A set menu highlighting the best of Blas producers, introduced on the night by chefs Dermot Dalton (First Bite Catering) and Martin Ruffley (Atlantic Technological University)
  • Dishes featuring produce from celebrated local suppliers, including Galway Bay Seafoods, Kelly Oysters, Anna Coston Cakes, Beechlawn Farm and more
  • Drinks from local artisan makers, including Micil Gin

Vegetarian and vegan options will be available, and dietary requirements can be catered for.
