Galway Climate Festival Calls on the Public to Take Action, Celebrate Creativity, and Reimagine Our Shared Future

Natural Symphony with plants

The 2nd annual Galway Climate Festival 10-14 September (www.GalwayClimateFestival.ie) is inviting everyone—families, artists, businesses, students, and communities across the West of Ireland and beyond—to come together for an inspiring celebration of climate action, creativity, and collective hope.

An interactive immersive exhibition at Eyre Square, Human: Nature by award winning light and sound artist Natural Symphony is just one of the many events planned. Fresh from Kings Cross for London Climate week, this free-to-visit installation is a sensory experience, inviting visitors to interact with living plants which transforms touch into real-time visual effects and electronic music.

Community climate action officer with Galway City Council, Tiarnan McCusker said:

“This year’s festival has again got the right mix of talks, panel discussions, performance and exhibition. By bringing the arts into the conversation we can speed up the transition to a low carbon Galway and reach our climate targets. There are events for everyone here, many of them free so please don’t miss out!’’
